Past Failure for Future Success (DP#181)

One major failure of mine in my earlier twenties was having to file for bankruptcy. I have mentioned this low point in previous posts so I will not bore you with the same details.

Needless to say, this forced me to take money and all financial decisions MUCH more seriously. This greater respect for the moolah better set me up for the situation with the van today. We make sure all the necessities are paid for, before we think about buying things we just want.

Lord willing, we do not fall into those times ever again, but even if something out of our control happens, we will be more prepared, due to actually having money in savings.

  1. Good stuff Ash on overcoming what must have been a very stressful and humbling experience.

    1. Thank you! And oh yeah! I have not been though quite as a humbling experience since then thank the Lord.
It completely jacked my sleep and my appetite up due to all the stress. However! Even that passed so I am gucci now lol

      1. Gucci is a new one to me lol Sounds lavish!
I can understand you being mega stressed, but getting over that hurdle, you can now tackle just about anything. You’re laughing like mudcrabs. hehe

      2. I use Gucci interchangeably with ‘good’ or ‘alright’ lol That is the optimism I am trying to have for sure.

      3. ‘Gucci’ is pretty funny. I would like to hear someone say that in person. I’d no doubt being in hysterics – the first time.

      4. Lol you sometimes hear it amongst the young people on Youtube and Twitch. I do not think I have heard anybody else say it in person but me.

      5. It’s pretty cool.
Have a great Friday and start to the weekend Ash!
        Cheers.

      6. Have a lovely weekend yourself Matt!

About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 29 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
