This question is a bit tough because my gut reaction is yes, but would that be best?
One of the biggest reasons I personally feel so far behind in life is because I got trapped in the comfortable mindset and routine. Being a recovering procrastinator, the saying “Why do today, what you can do tomorrow!” had a vice grip on my motivation and my drive to better myself. It led to constant lies and gaslighting myself that I would get my crap together tomorrow, or next week, or next year. I never realized I was trapped in such a detrimental cycle, until I blinked and realized I am almost 30 years old! I am at that point (FINALLY) where I am starting to hold myself accountable, understanding that it truly is best to get things out of the way, so I no longer have the need to stress and overthink the endless scenarios.
That being said, I now know that I really do not need, nor should I be given more time. Sometimes the pressure of having no more time left, is what yanks me off that couch and forces me to be the most productive I can be. Whether I like it or not lol. The time for comfort and relaxation is on hold until I reach my goals now. After all, why should I be blessed with the most precious commodity we have in this world, just to waste it?
