Not going to lie, I have never flown in an airplane nor really been to the airport, other than to pick people up.
What I will say in my little experience with DFW International Airport, is that the traffic is HORRENDOUS and they need to work on their signage.
There is a mall relatively close by that we visit from time-to-time. A couple times when we were coming back home, the GPS took us right through the stupid toll lanes close by the airport. There was absolutely no warning on the side of the highway about the upcoming toll lanes, and there was virtually no way to turn around. This is the reason I always have toll roads turned off on GPS now.
Whenever you have to drive through the airport yourself, good luck finding where you need to go. This airport is massive to the point it feels like its own city. The layout does not make too much sense for the people who are having to be there, as sometimes you have to go into tunnels or up under ramps to get to where you need to go. Absolutely horrendous experience every time.
The only cool thing about it is being able to watch all the planes come and go. It being an International airport, you see planes from all over the place which is pretty cool.
My favorite airports are honestly the smaller privately owned ones. We have one close by that is attached to an aviation museum. They always have so many different military and civilian planes on display that is pretty sick. I believe that airport is mainly used for training purposes now.
Basically, I hate the congestion and stress that mega airports bring lol.
