There are literally so many examples of kindness shown to me throughout the years so it is difficult to pinpoint one.
One instance that does stand out the most for me involves the woman I considered my church mom. Basically, I had to have a rather difficult conversation about something that had been laid on my heart. I was so worried that it would be taken the wrong way or something of the nature but I knew I needed to have the conversation with someone from church.
I eventually mustered up the courage to message her and asked to meet her in person to have the conversation. She immediately agreed to meet me at my work after hours. The conversation went very smoothly and she was completely understanding and was actually aware of what I was talking about, alleviating a bunch of my anxiety instantly.
She then offered to take me home and even stop for a drink on the way.
The fact that she was so easily available to listen to me and take me seriously, while also being respectful and understanding, meant so much to me and I will never forget that.
