WWW Wednesday – July 29th, 2026

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words . All you have to do is answer the following questions each week:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What have you just finished reading?
  • What are you going to read next?

•Currently Reading•

Unfortunately it is the same as last week…It is has been a bit stressful this week so I actually took two days off from reading. While I hate not reading as it makes me feel behind, I did enjoy the mental break a bit.

I am currently 64% of the way through The Lost Husband. While there will be trigger warnings for sure, once again I though Shari is doing a wonderful job at keeping it as mild as possible. There have been some heart wrenching moments for sure but the story moves past it pretty quickly. I should be done with this one within the next couple of days.

I am 26% of the way through House of Echoes. The pacing is really fast so I feel like I am playing a cat and mouse game trying to wrap my head around things. I do enjoy the idea of this voice speaking to certain people, even warning them about catastrophic events and seeing how the higher ups twist and manipulate that information for their own gain. It has quite a bit of political and cult like intrigue for sure.

*I am skipping the second section since I did not finish anything this past week*

•Reading Next•

It is basically the same as last week, with the addition of the fourth book in the Emma M. Lion series. I mainly just need to read something I can quickly get through and laugh the entire way.

  1. The Emma Lion books are excellent, hopefully it does the job and makes you laugh as much as the first three 🙂

  2. The cat-and-mouse pacing of House of Echoes sounds absolutely gripping—political intrigue with a supernatural twist? Sign me up. And I love that you’re giving yourself grace with the reading break. Can’t wait to see what you pick up next!

  3. Sometimes it’s best to just take a break from reading and let your brain settle — forcing it is no fun at all! Hope it helped.

About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 29 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
