Yes!
And that is coming from someone who generally dislikes any disorder.
I feel like when we get too comfortable with the way things are going, we tend to take things for granted. It could be the very peace that has landed in our laps, the specific situation or the very people we spend our time with the most. Sometimes we need things to get shaken up so that we can see the good things more clearly.
The knowledge that everything is cyclical in nature helps me deal with the stress that comes with any upheaval like this. When a blessing has been here for a while, there is typically what feels like a curse right behind it. Realistically, its not a curse but man it can feel like it sometimes. The good thing is that I know another blessing is due once again shortly thereafter, continuing the pattern.
Just looking at nature is just a great example of this. If you have spent any time in the middle of nowhere or seen any nature documentary, you know how quickly things can go from peaceful to chaotic. And yet, nature is one of the most beautiful things on the planet! I personally find the most peace when I am out in it, knowing that so many things could happen.
Flowers bloom for a while then they shrivel up and go into a sort of dormant phase, if they do not straight up die afterwards. Certain animals change their entire patterns depending on the season. Likewise, humans go through similar seasonal patterns of ups and downs, tranquility and chaos.
The truth of the matter is, we tend to grow and mature the most when we are put under pressure. I ultimately want to mature to the point where I can see the blessing even in these high pressure seasons of my life.
