Biggest Challenge (DP#172)

Moving into our van full-time is the biggest challenge I have faced yet and hopefully that happens well before 6 months.

I might as well turn this post into a bit of a van update. Right now, she is in the confines of the paint shop where she is scheduled to stay for about 2 weeks. We were finally able to pick out the shade of green we were wanting. I do not know if I have mentioned this before but for the paint, we are going mainly green, with a strip of black at the bottom along the whole vehicle. We chose to have it raptor lined as to keep it looking nice longer.

After she is done getting painted, she is going back to the shop for one last time since there are still some wonky stuff going on with the transmission.
THEN she is going in for cameras to be installed, then we are swapping tires and rims, then we will build out the inside. Whew! This whole process has been a challenge from its conception man.

Once we do get in and out, then it will be a matter of getting adjusted to our new environment and lack of space. What will cooking look like now? What will using the bathroom look like or taking showers? That will be the season of great challenge then lol But I am looking forward to it!

  1. Cool to get this update. I like how you refer to her simply as “she.” Does she have a name?

I hope the transmission repairs go well.

Wow – cameras? Projecting inward and outward? That all sounds fascinating.

Here’s hoping it’s smooth sailing from here on, as much as it can be.

    1. We have kind of decided to name her the “Shenani-van” playing off the word shenanigans since we get up to a lot of it lol Its easier to refer to vehicles with pronouns lol

We are hoping no repairs need to be made, just maybe some adjustments. Everything is still under warranty thank goodness.

Well front and back outside yeah, probably not inside just because I do not want to give the government spies any more ammunition to have on me lol Just kidding!!!

      Thank you so much Matt

      1. What a name….’Shenani’ is a ‘ripper’ (as us Aussies like to say).

That’s great everything is under-warranted – ‘You’re laughin’ like mudcrabs’! lol

      2. Lol thank you.

I swear sometimes it feels as though you are speaking a whole other language lol But yes, the warranties are definitely good lol
