My Favorite Drink (DP#169)

Oh man! Another deceptively difficult question! I truly have many favorites depending on the mood.

As far as chilled coffee is concerned, the blended freezes with soft top from Dutch Bros are my favorite. The Cocomo is one of my favorites for the coconut, chocolate milk and espresso but I can get down for pretty much all their flavors.
When hot coffee is concerned, I prefer making my own in the Keurig. My favorite pod coffee flavors include pumpkin spice, any kind of vanilla and really any kind of caramel flavor.

My favorite soda has always been Dr. Pepper for both flavor and nostalgia wise. Too bad I cannot drink too many sodas nowadays but maybe that is a good thing. I do enjoy this drink from Sonic (a fast-food chain) called Ocean Water as it also has a stronger coconut flavor, almost akin to a pina colada. My favorite typical shake flavor is probably strawberry and my favorite drink to order from restaurants is lemonade, my favorite being the strawberry lemonade from Chillis (my favorite restaurant).

    I laughed when I read the title – ‘My Favourite Drink’ and expecting something like a triple vodka on the rocks (I’m just kidding). This all reminds me of Neil Diamond’s ‘Love on the Rocks’ – good song.

    I remember your penchant for chilled coffee from the Dutch Bros. Oh man, I haven’t drunk a Dr. Pepper in eons. Pretty yummy. That Chillis restaurant sounds alright.

    You know what I do? I buy these bottles of Herbal Tea and Mandarin Juice and I mix them to make little iceblock popsicles in the freezer. I’m currently sucking on one now in between black coffees. Deli!

      Correction it’s not a herbal tea. It’s called a ‘Green drink’ which contains extracts of Pineapple, Spinach, Lemon and Cucumber. It’s really yummy and so thick.

        That sounds like these smoothy drinks at the store. They mix in veggies along with the fruits and things. Delicious but expensive. These were more on the watery side but still poppin off with the flavor.

        The thing is…this drink (I wish I could send a pic) costs just $2 US here and its 1 litre. That’s the thing about Colombia is how dirt-cheap everything is especially the tropical fruits, since it being a tropical location. In Australia I had no idea of how delicious exotic fruits could taste or how cheap. I go to town on it, really.

        Dang that is a steal! Fruit here is hit or miss with how expensive it is. Plus, you just never know the quality. I ordered a mixture of berries one time and when we picked up the groceries, all the raspberries were molded along with half the strawberries. It irritated the crap out of me. I love fruits man.

        I’m still gobsmacked by the freshness and variety of the fruit here—much of it exotic, too. I just bought a 600-gram container of mango and papaya (already cut into bite-sized pieces—no skin, just fruit—ready to eat) for about $1.50 USD. It’s crazy. Overall, I’d say the food here costs, at most, one-third of what it does in Australia. And the quality easily surpasses it.

        I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience with the raspberries and strawberries. It reminds me of that scene from Seinfeld when Kramer takes a bite of some fruit and spits it out because of its poor quality. If you don’t mind, I’ll share it with you below:

        My goodness gracious, that is super cheap! Its funny here since fruits are something that is always being smuggled in from Mexico and we always see these Mexican men at the beach with their carts full of fruit. They hike them prices up though. I have seen them selling whole pineapples for thirty bucks. Absolutely ridiculous. I can see why people opt to move to other countries man.

        Its alright, it was definitely not the first or the last time moldy fruits will happen. Lol Kramer was my favorite character from Seinfeld hands down! But same.

        That pineapple price is crazy. I love the big, lush green avocados they sell here (for about $2 USD) on almost every street corner, with shops nearby. The quality is incredible.

        Kramer is hands down one of, if not the funniest physical comedians I’ve ever seen. I think George was probably my favourite character from the show, but for completely different reasons. It’s amazing that every main character won an Emmy – except George. Schmucks!

        Two dollars for big avocados is crazy!

        Kramer is pretty great. I feel like George would have stood out if it were not for Jerry and Kramer’s overwhelming personalities. In comparison, George is a bit more toned down, so he gets pushed into the background.

      Ah dang it! I should have joked about it though lol That is a good song for sure.

      I have been craving Dr. Pepper so much man. I caved and drank a coca-cola this past week and it was kind of disgusting lol Chillis is my favorite chain restaurant here. They have the best chips and salsa, besides homemade of course.

      Those popsicles sound amazing! I am wanting to make our own popsicles when we are on the road just for a quick snack and hydrator.

        I went to the cinema yesterday to see Hamnet and drank so much Coke zero with my popcorn. Haha. I really have a craving for Dr Pepper now – thanks to you. I hope I get to experience a meal at Chillis.

        I have this thing for making my own iceblocks. I like to keep my mouth entertained with sugar free lollies and iceblocks , much to the detriment of my teeth, but I don’t care. Only live once.

        How is your ‘Into the Wild’ project going – Rubbertramp lol

        Ah Coke Zero. Brings me back to my younger days lol! You have to have some soda with your popcorn; it is a necessity. I hope you can enjoy the splendor of a Chillis as well!

        I can understand that. People who are coming off a nicotine addiction sometimes replace the cigarette for a sucker for the same reasons. Apparently that swap can be successful in pushing down cravings and such.

        Lol rubbertramp still catches me off guard, it feels like an insult, but I know it’s not. Things have reached a bit of a standstill but on Monday, the van is going into the paint shop for around 2 weeks. After that, she is going back into the shop to get the transmission looked at, then we are putting in the fan, then building out the inside!

        I’m more of a Pepsi zero fan myself. I think it’s because it has ‘blue’ as part of its packaging and that’s my favourite colour.
        It’s funny how you guys call it soda and we call it ‘soft drink’.

        I can see how ‘rubbertramp’ could sound insulting. But I liked how it sounded ever since I first heard it used in the cool movie ‘Into the Wild’ when a husband and wife referred to themselves as that trekking in their camper-van across the US. Before that Christropher McCandless who was walking and hitching rides referred to himself as – I’m not superman, I’m supertramp hehe

        I can see that lol blue is my favorite color as well. For some reason, I get bad heartburn with Pepsi that I do not get with Coke.

        Lol what an interesting word though. Yeah, it makes sense, but it does sound similar to a ‘lot lizard’ if you have heard of those lol

        Mainly blue eyes, yes but they do like to turn green and gray as well at times.
        It does not make any sense to me. Dr. Pepper does not affect me nearly as much as the other darker sodas.

        Yeah, I am pretty sure it just appears to change color, but who knows? I can look in the mirror and see different shades all the time, so I am the last person to ask lol

        Lol I never really gave the whites too much thought. I try to avoid anything happening with my eyes so that probably helps the whiteness I imagine.
