*This post has been a bit late due to dealing with Granny being in the hospital, but she is doing alright right now as they are preparing to put her in a rehab facility for PT. I still appreciate all the thoughts and prayers for that whole situation*

This day was all about the windows!!!!
We finally took off all the hideous grate things that were over some of the windows, as well as the tinting. I do not know if it was the tinting itself, or the adhesive they use but that crap STUNK. Plus, it was all sticky and kept blowing away in the wind once I ripped it off.
I then used lacquer thinner to get off the sticky smudges, before finishing off with good ole Windex. Now we have some clean and sparkly looking windows!

Kolton was also able to swap out the ignition switch, due to the old one being a bit too stiff and grabby with the key.

On a more not so pleasant note, the previous owners completely JACKED up all the locking mechanisms in this van. On every door. It appears as though they were attempting (very poorly) to convert the mechanical locking mechanism to an electric one. They left wires leading to nowhere all over the place, as well as making it so much more difficult to deal with. That being said, we are currently waiting on the hinge and lock kits to come in for that dumpster fire.

We also realized the seal on the doghouse is gone so that is something that is kind of necessary, as it keeps all the engine and gas fumes out of the van. so that needs to be ordered.

Besides all of that, we were able to pick up the Maxxair fan that is going to be mounted on the roof, we picked up some weather and heat proofing stuff from Home Depot, as well as some more rustoleum. We got in the scuff plates, however one of them has to be returned due to it being shaped for a sliding door. We also got in the driver and passenger side mats, and while they are not perfect fits, we are going to stick with them for a while.

All that catches yall up on the progress. Tomorrow, we plan on finishing tracing all the wires, plugging up as many holes as possible, and begin putting heat and sound proofing up.
We shall see how that goes!
