My First Computer (DP#151)

This prompt brings me back so much!
The first family computer was WAY back when dial up was still a thing. I could not tell you what model the computer was, but it consisted of a very blocky monitor and tower. We could play it at specific times in the day since my dad always called us at work at around the same time. My sister and I would play a lot of PBS kids games on this computer. As well as other websites like Neopets and Webkinz. I remember playing some CD rom games as well like Virtual Villagers and those discs that would come with a happy meal or kids’ meal at Sonic or McDonalds.

My first laptop was actually my little sister’s hand-me-down. For some reason, she got a laptop before I did and once she upgraded, I took it over full time. Again, I could not tell you the model or anything, but it was an okay computer. I played ALOT of Sims games on this one. I was always so surprised at how smoothly it ran, considering the old computer could barely run Sims 2. I was still on and off playing games like Neopets and began getting into some Steam games at this point. This was before Bluetooth was as widely available, so my controllers and earbuds were all wired and all over the place. A lot of good memories spent on the computer for sure!

About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 28 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
