- Coffee/Creamer/Monster – All the great caffeine necessities! We used to get the bagged ground coffee but now where we are staying, we can only use the pods. We have also gotten into a bit more of the creamers. At HEB (our favorite grocery store) they have their own brand of coffee and creamer and their Snickernut coffee mixed with this coconut cream creamer, tastes almost identical to a Cocomo from Dutch Bros. It is actually so freaking delicious. If we are stopping somewhere quick before running errands or going on a road trip, a sugar free Monster is my choice of a quicker wake-me-up.
- Recipe Ingredients – This varies greatly but it typically involves a meat (normally beef or chicken), potatoes, cheese, maybe some pasta, some veggies, flour, etc. I will keep the typical cooking ingredients stocked so if I need to top something off I will. Otherwise, I get whatever is needed for a specific dish.
- Snacky Stuff – The times in which we are feeling lazy with cooking, we may just break out sandwiches, so chips are pretty regularly used. Luckily, we have cut back on a lot of the snacking we were doing, so we can make a bag of chips or crackers, last. Heck, we mainly only use crackers for soup at this point and if we make some dumplings and mainly only have broth left, crackers are great for that.
- Sweet Stuff – Being somebody who does not deny myself the sweeter things in life, I do allow myself to eat a little something after meals. These are typically cookies, since it is easier to limit yourself, or small pieces of cake if I felt like diving into the baking. HEB always has a quite large selection of baked goods to choose from, that are in small enough portions to where you are never eating too much at once.
- Water – If we are not drinking coffee, we have gotten into only drinking water. The last time I had a soda was actually about a week ago at my mom’s house since they hardly drink water themselves. I almost got sick off of it and had terrible acid reflux the rest of the day. I do still struggle with drinking plain water at times, so I will get some of those sugar free powder thingies to add some flavor to it.

I’m a huge fan of water – like huge fan… If I’m down or up I have to drink that stuff up lol Sometimes I wonder if i drink too much. But I reckon it’s a good thing.

Man, I wish I loved water like that. It has always been such a downer to drink lol I used to only drink it if it had flavoring in it but now, I can do a few bottles a day. I know if you drink a hecka lot, it could potentially kill you, particularly if you exercise quite a bit before you chug it.

Thanks, I might need to revise my intake. Thanks for the heads-up.

Of course! Listening to your body and giving it time to feel full instead of chugging, is the most important part.

● About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 29 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.
My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.
As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.
I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
