Yesterday, we had our first viewing. The original evening appointment was cancelled due to even more rain that came pouring down. The clouds looked absolutely gorgeous afterwards though, making me wish we had cameras already.
At around 1:15pm, my father-in-law accepted another viewing for 2:45. This meant, we had a little over an hour to sweep and mop the house and put all of our valuables in the safe. It was a little bit hectic, but we were able to do everything in plenty of time. This viewing was an hour long, so my husband and I just chilled out at our local library, perusing through the books and listening to the deluge of heavy rain pound the windows. It was pretty chill.
According to my father-in-law, who was down the street when the agent and potential buyer pulled up into our driveway, our neighbors across the street were instantly suspicious and were about to walk over there to ask what they were doing. My FIL had to yell that it was okay just so no drama got started lol We have had a sign up for a few days now, obviously people are going to be coming by and looking at it. I do appreciate them looking out for us but one of these strangers could be their new neighbors lol Slow your roll a little bit.
Once we realized the evening showing was cancelled, we came back and chilled. Everything was in its rightful place. They did leave the lights on in the garage which was a bit annoying but if that is all that was amiss, that is okay in my mind.
I am hoping today (Sunday October 26th) is a bit more chill on the home selling front but if anything interesting does happen, I will write about it 🙂
