Besides selling everything and starting over in an RV, I do have a couple different risks I would not mind taking a leap of faith for.
Having something I created or helped create, get published. Whether it be a novel, a children’s book, or a devotional, I have always been curious of how the public would perceive something I had written myself. My husband is passionate about photography so I have thought of ways we could team up and combine his pictures with my words. I have thought of devotionals with his nature photography mixed in, as well as calendars with monthly verses or poems that were inspired by his photos. Since we will be traveling a lot more, we could also attempt to publish our own travel books as well. Who knows? It just takes quite a bit of time and knowledge of the various publishing markets to get the ball rolling.
One of the more “out there” risks we would like to take involve going cryptid hunting. We have been a fan of ‘The Confessionals’ podcast for a long while and there have been some interesting stories guests have told while appearing on the show. Having had my own paranormal instances throughout my life, I tend to be more willing to listen to these stories. Plus, just all the weird stuff that happens in the woods, whether it be government controlled or people going missing, I would be interested to seek out the validity myself. There are so many supposed cryptids in the United States alone, that we would not be short of creatures to research and investigate. Obviously, there are many risks involved with being in the woods at night. The dogmen stories the locals spew could end up being just a deranged person who lives in the trees lol Heck, if we do end up finding out something interesting, that would be another great idea for something published as well. After all, there are various mentions of demonic beings in the Bible itself, so why would they not still be here and around? At the very least, the lore and history of the land would make for great reading material, I think.
