The evolution of space exploration has been one of the more fascinating sides to modern day scientific advances in my opinion. What started off as a seemingly impossible feat, turned into a world power race to see who could leave the atmosphere first then land on the moon first. Now we have satellites and rovers who are built in such a way to not only survive the void of space but have the ability to travel to our neighboring and distant planets. That being said, would I pay to not only get shot up past our atmosphere, but actually set foot on the moon? Probably not.

Personally, the risks dramatically outweigh the potential benefits to me. I do not necessarily have a fear of heights however I hate the idea of basically being shot out of a cannon and not being able to control anything beyond that point. Maybe if I was a trained and certified astronaut or engineer, I would feel a little more confident. The fact there have been countless issues with not just unmanned rockets but those carrying life, my anxiety would be constantly at an all-time high, making it difficult to enjoy the experience. Now if I was getting PAID for the journey, I may be more inclined to agree since if I were to crash and burn, at least my family would be set up lol It better be in the multi-million at least though.

There is something eerily beautiful about being up in space, surrounded by an endless black canvas. I would love to send up a camera to document that scene for sure. THAT I would pay for.
