My Priorities for Tomorrow (DP#29)

My husband and I are about to begin a new chapter of our lives. Him, along with my father-in-law are going to be selling the house we are currently living in and Lord willing, we will be starting our van life sooner rather than later. Before we officially begin the selling process, we have a decent number of cosmetic touchups to complete on the walls, flooring and exterior.

Tomorrow, we plan on finishing out the base boards, as we never got around to doing that lol, and making it look as good as possible. We may be able to begin the touchups on the walls, for we have quite a few places where the paint was rubbed off from furniture or from sticking things in the walls.

Also, because we are going to be moving into a much smaller space, we will probably continue with figuring out what we need to get rid of. Going from wanting to keep everything to having a more minimalism mindset has been a difficult transition for me. I come from a family that always kept things due to emotional attachment, so I had to retrain my brain a bit lol.

All in all, my priorities tomorrow will revolve around starting the process of getting the house picture perfect for the realtor so we can get it posted!

I appreciate any thoughts and prayers for us during these stressful times ♥

  1. Oh wow, van-life that’s HUGE! Have you seen the movie ‘Nomadland’?
Good luck in in the meantime with your home tinkering.
Because of all the moving I’ve done throughout nearly my entire adult life, I’ve kept few possessions. I’m definitely not a hoarder – on the contrary. Anyhows, good luck with the upcoming selling process.

    1. Thank you and no I cannot recall that movie. I have some hoarders in my family who would definitely struggle with letting stuff go lol Thank you so much!

About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 28 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
