This past week, I had one more ALC approval and two ARC approvals, one that actually releases today (Halloween). That ARC actually came from the author, Michael Apicello, himself so I appreciate him reaching out to me 🙂

The Unveiling by Matthew Apicello published on Halloween of 2026 (literally yesterday as I write this). As mentioned, he reached out to me personally to see if I was interested in reviewing his debut novel, and of course I said yes.
“The sky did not change. Our eyes did.
For all of human history, a veil has hidden the spiritual realm from human sight. Then an artificial intelligence discovers the veil is measurable, and a scientist who does not believe in ghosts opens a window that can never be closed. Overnight, everyone on earth can see the demons that were always there.
Independence Day meets the Book of Revelation.
A literary apocalyptic thriller for readers of This Present Darkness, A Canticle for Leibowitz, and The Sparrow. Cosmic in scale, blue-collar in soul, honest about the cost, and unashamed of the hope.”

Valley of the Bells by Sherry Rossman is set to publish on November 9th, 2026 with Darwin House Press. This is described as a YA, Christian, Sci-Fi, Fantasy novel.
“Avery thought the hardest part of starting over would be the silence of a school hidden in the Arizona mountains—not the ghosts.
When all but four of the students leave for the holidays, the house develops a personality of its own, awakening a disgruntled spirit who knows them all too well. When the sun fails to rise the next day, Avery and her nemesis, Milo, break the rules and leave the property to find the only thing that will bring everything back to normal. But with every mile they go, the darkness follows.
Some ghosts don’t just haunt houses.
They haunt the people who leave them behind.”

A Perfectly Reasonable Plan by Holly Varni is set to publish on January 5th, 2027 with Thomas Nelson and Harper Collins Publishing. This audiobook is described as Literary Women’s Fiction, and Humor and Satire. It has been a while since I read a humorous books, so I am looking forward to giving this a listen.
“The plan was simple. Everything else was not.
Darkly comic, warm-hearted, and sneakily wise, A Perfectly Reasonable Plan is a story about the families we’re given, the ones we accumulate along the way, and the wonderful love that refuses to stay behind.”
