Synopsis

Birmingham, Alabama, has lost all power. Its streets are jammed with cars that won’t start and its airport is engulfed in flames from burning planes. All communications–cell phones, computers, even radios–are silent. Every home and business is dark. Is it a natural disaster, a terrorist attack, or something far worse?

In the face of a crisis that sweeps an entire high-tech planet back to a time before electricity, the Branning family faces a choice. Will they hoard their possessions in order to survive–or trust God to provide as they share their resources with those around them? Yesterday’s world is gone. Family and community are all that remain. And the outage is revealing the worst in some.

Desperation can be dangerous–especially when a killer lives among them.

Fast-paced, thought-provoking, and rich with emotional and spiritual tension, Last Light launches the bestselling Restoration Series with a story that feels both urgent and deeply human.

–My Review–

Currently I am Reading:

Comparison:

The closest comparison I can make is between Last Light and His New Girlfriend due to the thriller and suspense aspect of it.

Last Light and Christmas in Chestnut Crossing are about the furthest things away from each other lol. Last Light takes place in the American south in the summer months I believe so even then, drastically different, with very little cozy elements to it lol.

Also the fact Last Light occurs on a global scale, while the other two books are zoomed in on a particular family or group of people.

This was an interesting one for sure 🙂

● About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 29 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
