At the moment, I have been blessed with not needing too much self care to calm myself down. The most I need is just a bit of time by myself while listening to music or playing a chill game.
Just making posts for this very blog and reading has helped so much as well. Enjoying what you are doing, helps tremendously for sure.
Speaking of enjoying what you do, next Tuesday, I have an interview with a legal transcription company here in the US. The job is completely remote so it would be perfect for the lifestyle Kolton and I desire. Transcribing is something I have grown interest in and I am typing everyday anyways so it is not completely new to me lol. I am remaining hopeful and optimistic this will be a great fit for me and allow doors to be open down the line.
Besides, the mental side, keeping up with physical care like hygiene and stuff like that can be tricky still. I know the slumps of depression that make it feel as though you have to physically force yourself to take showers or brush your hair. It has been a struggle many a time before.
When I find myself in one of these stages, I like to gamify my life so to speak. I use an app called Habitica which basically turns To-Do lists into mini quests that gives you XP to level up your character. It sounds silly, but if it works it works you know?
