How do you keep track of books you have read?

I actually take advantage of a few different websites/apps to catalogue my reading history.

The most used one is Goodreads as pretty much every book I look up is available on there, even ARCs. One of my gripes with Goodreads however is the sorting system on your individual lists. Plus if you have over 1000 books, it does not like to load all of them so there are some gives and takes.

Storygraph is another website I use. I enjoy taking part in the challenges in this community as they make it so easy to quickly add books to specific prompts within a challenge. The main issue I have with this place is their search engine. I have had to manually add handfuls of books already (mainly ARCs) and I have noticed you have to be very specific when searching, or else you will have every book pop up except the one you are looking for. I love the monthly and yearly stats it gives you though!

Fable is another place that I mainly use for reading groups and picking a book to read due to their random book picker. I have to keep manually re-syncing my Goodreads lists to it though, so that is a bit annoying. I mainly use this one as a more phone friendly way of getting book recommendations.

NetGalley I use to keep track of ARCs and other approvals. Because these come with a bit of a deadline for the most part, it helps me keep track of when books publish, when the archive date is so I download them in time, and any other pertinent information for my reviews. After the books publish, it also helps remind me when I can post reviews on retail sites so that is extremely handy as well.

I have also began using my own Google Sheet page to keep track as well. I am able to set the sheet up with all the information I would want for each book and quickly sort all of them that way. This is great for specific prompts involving certain words in the title, authors, publication year, etc. Plus I just enjoy making lists lol.

My blog is the last main place I use to track my reading. Obviously it automatically tracks when I post reviews and I can look back on all my book memes to see when I have read something as well 🙂
