Recently, as in the past week or so, Kolton and I have been watching Naruto together. I really wanted to understand his deep appreciation for the show so I started us on this whole rabbit hole lol.
Way back in Middle School, my sister and I actually attempted to watch the show but it just was not for us at the time. We were watching Bleach at the same time so maybe it was just a bit too much Shonen at once for us. Kolton however, LOVED the show as a child and would regularly bring up Naruto in conversations, saying how deep the characters were and how super OP the powers are. I have always known Naruto had a rather large fanbase so this did not surprise me in the least.
We have been talking about getting back into some anime relatively recently so one day, we were both in between things so I just popped it on. We are currently on episode 97 of the uncut version. I will say, certain scenes are completely drawn out which makes sense, but man I can understand the hype a bit better now. As far as Shonen anime goes, Naruto truly is one of the best as far as the sheer power and lore of the world.
The show gets pretty dark and deep out of nowhere so I have already teared up on multiple occasions lol.
After Naruto, I honestly do want to give Bleach another watch as well. I do miss all the Zanpakutō and Bankai and all the sick characters. Another rather long winded show but sometime to keep your attention for sure.
