I have decided to put a pause on The Boy of Chaotic Making and The Time Trials. Just too much time has passed since I have gotten into them and I want to get ahead of my ARCs as much as possible.
I also mentioned last week that I was planning on starting The Hotel Dancer. Well Unfortunately I have decided to drop it. The sexual content, violence and language were all just a bit too heavy for me and this blog. While I did not notice any full on sex scenes, there were plenty of it going on off page, plus sexual harassment was going on, and it was just not an easy or pleasant read for me.
That being said, I have started reading Cutie Pies by the Slice by Kimberly Nixon and A Perfect Mother by Miranda Smith.
Cutie Pies by the Slice is set to publish on October 6, 2026 with Roots and Wings Press. I am currently 10% of the way through. The story has been interesting for sure and is quite fast paced. I am curious to see how the prohibition laws contribute to the criminal circles that are in the story.
A Perfect Mother is set to publish on September 10, 2026 with Bookouture. I am also 10% through this suspenseful story and am enjoying it so far. The fact the main character is a well known influencer and writer makes the premise of her losing her child all the more intriguing.
