As far as burgers are concerned: Griff’s. Comparative to mainstream Whataburger and McDonalds, their patties taste more homemade with a smash burger feel. Their fries are also straight off the tater but sometimes they can still be soggy so not my favorite place for fries.
For Mexican food it has got to be Chuy’s (not the mainstream chain but the family owned one). The authenticity is real and the owners and his family are at one of their restaurants pretty regularly. Their chips and hot sauce are delicious, if a bit hecka spicy at times and the tortillas are obviously made fresh as well.
For steaks, Hoffbrau is the way to go. I will say for a while, they were going down hill as far as quality is concerned. However, they had a menu reduction and that has helped tremendously. They have brau chips as an appetizer which comes with a side of ranch which is delicious! Anything you were to order now is all around delicious and tender.
For Italian food, we have a Joe’s Pizza and Pasta. The Italians that run it can come off as brusque but man their food is delicious! Besides the usual pizza, they have pasta, calzones, garlic knots, different breads and desserts. Absolutely delicious for the more authentic Italian experience.
Honorable Mention: There was a local family owned Chinese restaurant with the best orange chicken, fried rice, egg drop soup and crab ragoons. Unfortunately, the patriarch was an older gentleman and got sick. I guess his family could not keep it up so it is a comfort food place now.
There is a big Korean shopping center going up with countless Korean BBQ, sushi, hotpot places going up that I am eager to give a try as well!
