WWW Wednesday – July 22nd, 2026

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words . All you have to do is answer the following questions each week:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What have you just finished reading?
  • What are you going to read next?

•Currently Reading•

I have not quite started on either of these yet but I will either today or tomorrow!

House of Echoes by Nat published back on June 20th but I still got approved for a complimentary copy from NetGalley so that was pretty sick! Per the blurb, this book is
Perfect for readers who love:
-Fast pacing, high tension, and a single sitting read.
-Dark, morally complex post-apocalyptic fantasy.
-Ancient powers, dangerous secrets, and impossible choices.

*I mainly chose it to help branch out my reading a bit and I used to love these types of books a lot so why not give it a shot?*

WWII book number two for this season is The Lost Husband by Shari J. Ryan. This is scheduled to publish on August 7th so I am getting a bit of a head start. I imagine this book will be a bit darker than The Children on the Train so I am taking some time to prepare for that. This book does seemingly take place, in part, at Auschwitz so you can imagine.
Per the blurb this book is: An inspiring, heartbreaking World War Two novel which celebrates the strength of human spirit and the power of love in the darkest of times. Perfect for fans of The Midwife of Auschwitz, The Choice and The Nightingale.

•Just Finished Reading

It has been a while since I finished three books in one week!

I have my review for Falling Into Us by Denise Hunter you can go ahead and read 🙂

The other two reviews I should have out soon (either today or sometime in the next couple of days. I literally just finished The Christmas Yes List an hour ago lol.

•Reading Next•

My next WWII read is going to be Reich to Israel by Avi Strauss (I absolutely love his name!). Once again, it seems like it is going to be on the heavier side..

Which is why I am going to be reading Nora Esposito is Enough by Sarah Ainslee around the same time!

I am slowly making progress on my NetGalley list so hopefully this momentum can keep up!

About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 29 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
