To be honest, I do not hear too many good excuses for things. It seems when people do something stupid, they typically have a stupid reason behind it lol.
The most recent circumstance that would fit this prompt however was actually from my cousin. The ladies in our family were planning a get together where all the kids could hang out and play with water balloons and eat lunch together. My cousins have two daughters of their own who are older and they were unable to make it due to having appointments later in the day. I would say that is a good excuse since who wants to rush around trying to get to appointments after having a lunch with family?
Besides that, the majority of excuses I hear the most is how people are not feeling too good to do something or go somewhere. This is a pretty common excuse I use myself in fact. Sometimes you wake up just not feeling the greatest. Especially when what is planned takes place in the morning.
When it comes to people’s behavior I am less willing to take their excuses depending the circumstances. If you are acting like a complete brat particularly as an adult and you say you are just having a bad day, umm that is not my problem nor am I the one responsible for your bad day. Please lose the attitude lol.
If somebody is acting withdrawn and not really wanting to participate and are having a bad day emotionally, I would understand that and not push it too hard. We all absolutely have those days. The biggest thing is to just not lash out to everyone else who may just be trying to help and give you space. Being able to communicate even during these bad days, makes everything so much more peaceable.
