Absolutely!
I believe it is in our best interests to always be on the hunt for ways to increase our knowledge everyday.
I know I have mentioned my grandmother before on this blog but she has been quite relevant for many a prompt lol. She is almost 90 years old and even though her hearing has given her issues, her mind is still very much there. I contribute this, one to God obviously, but also to the fact that she has always been engaging in creative outlets and strengthening her mind with puzzles. She plays the piano, paints, she used to crochet until her arthritis got too bad, and just completed a whopping 5000 piece puzzle! We always joke around that she will end up outliving us all, and perhaps that would not be too far off lol.
Most of us forget at times that our brain is a muscle that starts deteriorating when we neglect it. Just like our arms and legs, it needs to be worked out and put through its paces to get stronger. Sure, learning new things and skills may be tough and frustrating at first, but when you start understanding more and more, it is so incredibly edifying and satisfying!
Not to mention, having multiple hobbies and points of interests gives a more exciting life than just sitting in front of the TV all day.
