This is surprisingly a tricky question because I am still trying to figure out how to get a full night’s sleep myself.
Obviously I know that drinking caffeine and energy drinks in general, too late in the day can mess up your sleep. My problem throughout the day is that I start getting quite tired when I should not be. I typically engage in more relaxing past times throughout the day once everything important gets done which has a tendency to make me sleepy obviously. It is a bit of a double edged sword.
I also know it is not good to expose your eyes to electronics right before bed but sometimes I have to read or watch ASMR videos to fall asleep..
Even when I am able to fall asleep rather quickly, I am constantly waking up throughout the night. Either it is my husband waking me up when he gets up throughout the night, or I wake myself up from snoring or being in a really uncomfortable position. I have a really bad habit of sleeping with my arms crossed so I wake up with my hands and wrists totally asleep and tingly lol.
Beyond these things even, my anxiety has a tendency to wake me up as well. Just last night, I woke up an hour and a half before the alarm went off so I had to read a bit in order to relax myself once again. It truly is a wonder I can even wake up in the morning sometimes, not going to lie.
Ultimately, I think getting a decent night’s sleep depends on each person. Just try to alleviate naps throughout the day and if you feel like you need a coffee or something, do so earlier in the morning.
I am definitely not an expert in this regard lol.
