Oh boy lol.
One of my absolute least favorite western ‘norms’ is the social acceptance of being belligerent and obnoxious in public. Taking a quick browse through Facebook or Twitter instantly hits you upside the face with clip after clip of people who consider themselves some modern day prophet or some crap. They are the ones spouting off mostly regurgitated propaganda or are so packed full of pride and ego that they genuinely do not care who they harass. Do it for the views and attention is their motto.
The fact there is seemingly very little recourse for their debaucherous behavior just spreads this disease even further.
While most people are not as obnoxious as making every trip a political show, there are still so many ways in which people seemingly forget there are others around them. This is shown when people have their music playing on a speaker, talking and cussing loudly on the phone, not cleaning up after themselves, actually running into people due to their nose being embedded into their screens, etc.
Which brings me back to the prompt lol The Eastern belief of keeping your mouth shut in public, keeping to yourself, and respecting others around you needs to make a comeback in the western world. Having a genuine fear for legal ramifications and embarrassment should never have left the chat lol
