Yesterday, we officially started building out the inside a bit.
We measured and cut out the plywood for the floor. It was not as big of a head ache as I was expecting but it was a ton of measuring, cutting, measuring, cutting again lol. I am already loving not having to look at that ugly van flooring for sure.
We also added some more sound proofing stuff to the walls for a tad bit more coverage before we put the insulation in.

Today, we put insulation in all the holes and crevices in the doors and walls. The one bundle we had was definitely not enough so we had to make a Home Depot run to get two more bundles.
This was a very tedious part. I think it took us around 4 or 5 hours, painstakingly stuffing insulation as far up as we could get it. We were wearing eye protection, masks and gloves so it was getting really hot back there. It was the first day it got up to the 90’s which was honestly not the worst.

We plan on putting in more insulation on the walls once we start installing wood up there as well.
We did get the gauge cluster in today, so we are one step closer to getting her completely drivable. Hopefully we get the horn in the next couple of days as well as it sounds a bit mean lol.
We still need to get the wood for the roof rack platform, as well as the wood needed to frame out the inside, then we can get started on the walls. We plan on using this gym mat type of material for the floor, mainly so it would be easy to clean up. Plus it gives extra cushion and insulation for our feet.

It is crazy the progress we have made in such a short amount of time, but it is great to see it.
