Christmas all the way for me!
Besides the fact we are celebrating the birth of Jesus, Christmas time has always felt like a whole new world. A world in which the everyday monotony is pushed out by the excitement and whimsy of it all.
It truly feels like our paradigm shifts every year around this time. The neighborhoods are transformed with all the lights and decorations, all the Christmas music and movies start popping up all over the place, kids are out of school and hopefully the adults get some vacation time at this point.
When the fireplaces start being lit, the constant smell of burning wood is like taking a step back into my childhood. Mix that in with the smell of Grandma’s cookies and pies, it is truly the coziest time of the year 🙂
