Saying ‘No’ to Reach Goals (DP#200)

When it comes to financial situations, I do tend to say ‘no’ when it comes to spending money on things we do not need. Particularly since our long-term goal is to live out of our van full time, it is imperative to save as much money as possible.

As far as other people are concerned, there is not really anything we have been asked, that would negatively affect our goal. Helping others may prolong us getting out, but it would definitely not interfere too drastically. Now if somebody had the audacity to demand us to stay here or sell the van, umm NO……No thank you! Of course, we would separate ourselves from someone like that, as it is about time for us to start living our own lives. After all, this is the path God set us on, so literally nothing and nobody has the power to stop this train.

  1. Young people can get duped so easily, and it looks like you’re ‘not the come-in sucker types’. Thank Gawd.

I like Bob Dylan’s advice ‘Keep a good head and always carry a light bulb’ lol
Also the KISS principle is apt (although more of a writer’s slogan):
    ‘Keep It Simple Stupid’!

    1. It is a shame for sure. Using common sense and having discernment is such a huge blessing but it seems less and less people actually use these tools.

Lol I love both those sayings, particularly the KISS one. It kind of reminds of Ocham’s Razor in which the simpler solution is typically the more correct one.

About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 28 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
