What I need more of…(DP#196)

Relaxation!

For the past couple of weeks, Covid has once again been going through our family, starting with Kolton’s grandma who has been staying at a physical therapy facility for the past couple of months. My mom and niece got it since my mom has been going and visiting Granny, same as my father-in-law. Kolton and I have somehow managed to dodge the sickness, but we have been constantly feeling on the verge of it this entire time. It is even more crucial we do not get sick so Kolton will be able to get his permanent crown sometime in the next week or two, so that has me on edge.

Then constantly feeling as though we are getting the run around with the van as far as it has taken so long to get all the parts in for the transmission. Then we feel as though we have been lied to since none of that work was actually covered under warranty so that is another crap ton of money out of our pockets.

We have not been able to watch our niece due to Covid, so the income has slowed down, it is just truly one thing after another man.

I have found it difficult to eat and sleep with all the physical and mental effects of stress. One good thing is that I have somehow managed to lose about twenty pounds since we have been with Granny which is a blessing for sure, but I would rather it not be due to constantly feeling nauseous, so I do not eat.

I wish I could have more opportunities to relax during the day man. Feeling constantly on edge is unhealthy as all get out.

Through all of this, I am learning to turn more to God first before I start completely losing it which has been my rock throughout this whole ordeal.

  1. I’m sorry to read about what happened with your family during a COVID resurgence and it directly impacting on your stream of income. Hard times for sure friend. My best wishes for your family (Kolton’s grandma and your niece!) and I hope they are already on the road to recovery.

    1. Thank you Matt. It seemed to not affect either of them too much thank the Lord. Now I feel myself starting to get sick but I am trying to hold it off but man it stinks lol

      1. That sux indeed. How are you getting on right now?
When we were in the throes of COVID here, Constanza and I took Ivermectin and I even recommended it (with caution) to others who had seriously ill family members. By all accounts it eradicated their symptoms quick-smart. I still can’t understand why it wasn’t used as a prophylactic during the epidemic. I have my suspicions as to why not – but that’s Big pharma and corruption for you.

      2. Weeeelll my father-in-law tested positive yesterday and we are in the same house for the time being lol I have been having some stomach problems and burning sensations in my sinuses and feeling as though I am moments away from running a fever, but I haven’t so far. I felt the beginnings of chest congestion today, so I am just keeping an eye on it.
Yeah, we have some ivermectin as well. My aunt and uncle used it when they had the Coov so we will be fine, it is just so annoying when life seems to come to a grinding halt when you are getting sick like this.

      3. Oh, your symptoms do sound a bit scary, but at least no onset of fever.

That’s good you have the Ivermectin handy, but my understanding is – the earlier taken – the better. I still have the recommended dosage, but you are probably across that?

Anyways, I hope for your speedy recovery as well as for your Father in Law!

      4. Ehh its been alright. The scariest part to me is definitely the chest congestion just due to my asthma.

I went ahead and took some anyways lol I believe there is still a three-day incubation period for this crap, so today or tomorrow will be the drop, if we are sick.

Thank you for the well wishes Matt!

      5. The dosis recommended which I kept documented was (and an important caveat – I’m not a physician and you should confirm with a medical professional lol):

2 doses of oral = 0.3mg per KG of body weight so – a person weighing 70kg would take 21grams) then the same again 3 days later. That would serve as a month prophylactic.

But I’ve also heard, if the symptoms are already there, then you should take more. But I didn’t say that. lol
        Good luck!

      6. I remember it was a struggle for my family to even have a doctor mention ivermectin in any positive light, even though it has proven to work. I do not trust hardly any ‘professionals’ nowadays.

That is about what my aunt told me as well. I will get it situated lol thank you Matt.

  2. Wait! COVID is back? Good Lord…but good health to all of you. Get better and stronger 💪🏻

    1. Some sort of strain is going around over here again. I appreciate the well wishes!
