Today the sun made a surprising visit! However, I do not see any of this stuff melting anytime soon. We have about 2-3 inches of ice accumulation with maybe another half inch of snow on top of that.
Today the temperature is even colder than yesterday as it is currently 12 degrees F (-11 C). We decided to run up to the gas station for our caffeine fix, and it was pretty chill. The truck and van doors were almost frozen shut so that was fun. We just took our time going down the road and it was a beautiful sight to see.
The Winter storm warning ends today at 12pm however, we are now under an extreme cold warning from today, until Tuesday morning. We are not projected to reach above freezing until Tuesday afternoon, which spurred a whole slew of school and business closures for Monday.
There are about 800,000 people without power right now, mainly in the Tennessee area. I am continuing to pray for all those people in particular. This weather is way too bloody cold to not have access to heat.
