Winter Storm Part 2

Today the sun made a surprising visit! However, I do not see any of this stuff melting anytime soon. We have about 2-3 inches of ice accumulation with maybe another half inch of snow on top of that.

Today the temperature is even colder than yesterday as it is currently 12 degrees F (-11 C). We decided to run up to the gas station for our caffeine fix, and it was pretty chill. The truck and van doors were almost frozen shut so that was fun. We just took our time going down the road and it was a beautiful sight to see.

The Winter storm warning ends today at 12pm however, we are now under an extreme cold warning from today, until Tuesday morning. We are not projected to reach above freezing until Tuesday afternoon, which spurred a whole slew of school and business closures for Monday.

There are about 800,000 people without power right now, mainly in the Tennessee area. I am continuing to pray for all those people in particular. This weather is way too bloody cold to not have access to heat.

  1. Those wintery scenes sure do look lovely and snugly lol.
Yes, I can’t imagine being without power and heating in those conditions! 800000 my golly.
Good luck to you folk and I hope the harsh weather abates and things get back to normal real soon.

    1. They do! I love the snow and ice so much.
Almost a million people, is crazy! This storm will have affected over half of the country by the time it is over and done with.
      Thank you, Matt!

      1. I think I’d like to experience the occasion of snow for one Christmas to know what a White Christmas is like and what all the fuss is about lol
Half of the country – that’s crazy and scary!

      2. It is truly such a beautiful experience! Very book and movie-esque lol We have not had a white Christmas in years at this point.
Also, the south is just unprepared for the onslaught of that much snow and ice which is what makes the infrastructure suffer and suck.

About Me

Hello! I am Ashley and I simply love to read, and hope you do to!
I am currently 29 years old and living in the state of Texas, USA.

My favorite genres to read and review include romance, fantasy, mystery, and many subgenres of those as long as it is clean. I mainly get my books from my Kindle Unlimited membership, but I also found myself checking out library books on Libby as well.

As you can see, I do not solely post book reviews, I also love posting daily prompt writing, as well as stuff that is going on in my life currently. That being said, my passion is reading and reviewing books to my heart’s content, so hopefully that is something you are also interested in.

I do have a Goodreads where you can follow if you desire (no pressure!) I also have a StoryGraph, of which you can follow me here.
