Uninvent AI (DP#137)

I am not going to harp on this topic for too long since I have spoken my thoughts about AI in a previous post.

I believe anything that is here for convenience purposes will ultimately become a detriment to society as a whole. When you take away the necessity for people to think for themselves, you have effectively made them slaves to the machines that will be doing the thinking. People that are unable to make rational decisions are as good as animals to the self-proclaimed god-kings who created it or back it. I mean look at the people who are part of the WHO and World Economic Forum. They are constantly spouting off Calvinistic eugenics’ nonsense about how the “lowly and poor” people are useless and helpless. Plus, if you look at all the millions of mass-produced robots that China is popping out or the endless droves of drones, you have to ask yourself why. They are either there to take away the very jobs they swore would not be taken away, or they are there to kill us eventually.

    I agree with you 100%! To much technology is a horrible thing!

    I use the AI card as a sometimes get of jail free card in my posts to fix certain words or expression – I’ll admit. But all the ideas are my own which AI can’t make theirs. Like if I’m talking to you Ash in comments sometimes I want certain fix-uppery. Because it’s you lol

      I understand the little “fixes” that AI can do for sure. I mean I use it for my pictures and stuff. The main thing is that we are still using our independent minds and having independent thoughts. Lol do not feel forced to fix your writing just for my sake Matt. I prefer how people actually talk as that is how I gauge personalities and character. I enjoy the quirkiness of each person!

        Re. the little fixes with AI – I put ‘only the most glaring errors in wording, expression or accuracy’. Often it doesn’t change anything or it’s minuscule, but sometimes when it does make corrections, I prefer and lean back on my original draft and just go ahead with it.
        Yes, we have to be mindful that we are being ‘mindful’ while writing and not being dependent on AI to fix our shortcomings. I agree with you about the preference for face-to face communication in to gauge how a ‘person’ ticks.

        Ah I get you. It’s like I care about not having inaccuracies but at the same time, it depends on what I am writing about. Like with the reviews or historical stuff, I want to be accurate for sure. For some of the prompt writing, I am more relaxed with what I say since they are mainly about my own life so nobody should ever “fact check” me on those lol Those are mainly just about being honest and remembering things as best as I can. Heck, there have been times in which AI has tried telling me I was not using the right form of a word when it was correct based on the context I was going for. Sometimes the computer be wrong lol

        Oh, I see what you mean about how you approach the corrections more judiciously for some things over others. The same here. I approach what we are doing here like (messaging) you do with prompt writing – just let it rip Haha. Sometimes in more delicate and long-winded messages to you I will do a quick AI scan, but more often than not – the changes are minuscule.

        The fact check stuff can be helpful for me on controversial topics etc. Rarely does AI find something that counters my research, but it does happen, but then if you have third party it.

        You’re right, sometimes AI has corrected something like an important fact and was downright wrong. That happens a lot and spewed crap out recently, which was wildly incorrect. I only use the Chat GPT 4.0 which is garbage compared to the latest stuff….

        You are exactly right – if the tone of AI response isn’t consistent with your own, which often it isn’t – then don’t go there! It’s better to be grammatically wrong and/or use an ill-fitting word and publish the draft (which is really you), than to express something which isn’t aligned with your tone / delivery. Btw – No AI was used here lol
