Honestly, I feel like I am, however I do tend to give people the benefit of the doubt regardless, sometimes too much.
When I first meet somebody, particularly when somebody brings someone new into the circle, I pay close attention to how they are interacting with everyone. If they are just sucked into their phones the entire time without making attempts to communicate, that tells me they are either unfriendly or just did not want to be there to begin with, so they are throwing a bit of a fit. I am understanding of social anxiety, but that fear does not make it impossible to at least try you know. I also pay attention to the language they use. If they are cussing like a sailor right out the gate, they instantly come off as angry and or like they are trying to bolster themselves up for some reason. I personally do not get the obsession with using such strong language since it makes you seem like you cannot control your emotions, at least in my opinion and experience.
People who force the deeper conversations, particularly with religion or politics, I am kind of iffy with. If they are coming from a place of genuine discourse, then that is fine. If all they want to do is argue and make themselves seem intelligent, that tells me they are trying to prove something and so everything they are saying feels shallow. Basically, I do not like debating people I just met. You are coming off a bit too strong in my opinion. I would rather get to know your inner machinations and morals and beliefs naturally than in an antagonistic environment that you are forcing.
Basically, as long as the conversations and behaviors feel natural like you are just going with the flow, I will get positive “vibes” from you lol There is no reason to come off any different than the way God made you so do not put on a facade. It is not as sneaky as you think it is lol
