To me, blogging is the next logical step for what I used to do with pencil and paper when I was younger. The journals and diaries I kept began as close confidants to my inner machinations, evolving into a daily log and dream journal. They were pretty cringey at times, particularly the ones scribbled in ink by the hands of a child, but they were all me. Unfortunately, I have lost trace with most of these journals which is why I am opting for the electronic route. It solidifies your being into a more permanent medium at least until the internet goes down permanently but we won’t dwell on that too much lol
Nowadays, my writings are more of a merging of another passion of mine, reading. I love the adventure of chasing down my next read, flying through the pages and creating the words to express my thoughts of it in a review layout. Without the intent to write these reviews, I do not think I would have gotten back into reading like I am currently. After all, I have read four books, and starting on my fifth, all in the span of a week. I cannot tell you the last time, if ever, I accomplished that. Already, blogging has been so motivating, allowing my attention span to chill out enough to get through novels.
Ultimately, blogging opens the door to allow myself to express emotions and my thoughts in an easier format to reach those who care enough to read. I am full of excitement to see where this blog goes 🙂
